Vocabulary

“A writer with a basic vocabulary cannot be an exceptional writer. A good writer, but never exceptional. The world is too expansive to be limited to a description with basic vocabulary. More complex terminology is needed to accurately convey to the masses the wonders of this world.” -Diamond via thoughts from her grandfather

  1. Adrienne D. Wimbush says:

It is not the complexity of the words used that determines an exceptional writer. It is the ability to impact one’s target audience to full effect using even the simplest of words. For it is not the words themselves that weld power but instead, their meaning. If you have a Porche but can barely pedal a bicycle, you are less than the one who has a bicycle but knows how to drive a Porche.
